This page was inspired by my friend David Granger of Dallas, Texas who posted on Facebook 8/25/14 it's been 12 years since the passing of his mother and his wonderful tribute to her.  So thanks Dave to you and your remembrance of your mother for this wonderful inspiration!
If you would like to and in a story about someone special in your life - send to wendy at wowproductions2@earthlink.net

It doesn't have to reflect a married couple - just as long as the person you are remembering is in their wedding attire to fit our postings and your story or remembrance can be about any part of their life with you!  It could be a friend, family member, parents, grandparents, and the list goes on…..

Harumi & Tadashi Fujihara warried 4/6/47 at Nisei Baptist Church today known as Evergreen Baptist in Los Angeles by Reverend Paul M. Nagano  Married 50 years - they both relocated to heaven in 1997.

Although both incarcerated at Manzanar during WWII they did not know each other in camp but met at the end of WWII when both their families relocated to Pasadena, CA.  They started out their lives with much difficulty due to the hatred by some Americans of Americans of Japanese descent due to the war.  I considered my mother my best friend although I didn't realize it at the time.  Talking to her several times a week with good news and times of need.

My mother passed in March 1997 - we buried her at sea on my parent's 50th anniversary - so they were together.  She loved Elvis so a friend who was a fabulous Elvis impersonator sang her favorite Elvis songs on the ride out and back.  Since it was their anniversary date, my brother, sister-in-law and myself turned their floral warehouse in So. Orange County into an anniversary party and we invited all who went on the boat with us to a catered 50th celebration.  We had fun.  My father died exactly 6 months to the day of my mother.

My Grandmother & Grandfather wedding day in Milan, Italy, during the terrible war:  June 13, 1942.
Love despite the war!

It's been "only" 10 months since the passing of my Grandmother named Lina : she was 92 years old and she was always in my life, next to me. She raised me and taught me so many things!

She left me many, many memories and my life  now is "strange" without her ...Despite her physical absence I always feel her close to me, she also taught me this: to go forward, always and in spite of everything.

I do not remember seeing her cry often, even though her life has been difficult; she was a very strong woman but withsensitive heart: from her I received the most beautiful flowers, I was "flooded" with flowers for every occasion!

My father told me he would always love me, in this life and beyond.  This photo was taken at my wedding in April 1992.
I lost my father in October 2011 and, as I held him in my arms, his final words to me were a love song.  I will always
carry him in my heart.
