The Vow Renewal:
Married on June 1st of 2013, Jenn and Frank Hallak were quickly approaching their one year anniversary. Being only 24 and 25 years old with dreams of owning a home in Southern California, they decided to go with the “no gift” rule for their anniversary and instead, enjoy a romantic dinner at the Malibu Beach Inn where he proposed back in December of 2012.
As it turns out, neither of them followed that “no gift” rule. A wedding blogger and coordinator herself, Jenn decided to do what she did best and plan a surprise vow renewal ceremony for the two of them. With only a week and a half to plan, she pulled it all together – her immediate family and grandparents drove down from Northern California and his immediate family drove in as well to Redondo Beach, CA where they first said their vows.
Not knowing where they were going, they pulled up to the beach where Frank thought they would just take a stroll through the sand before dinner. But to his surprise, as they began walking down the long path to the sand, a photographer began taking photos of the two of them. And their families were there waiting on the sand.
While very casual and intimate, their vow renewal reminded them of what their wedding day, one year ago, was all about – a beautiful marriage and the commitment they made to each other for a lifetime.
